• this AU is a Voltron x Macross mashup, i’m taking inspiration mostly from Frontier, Delta & 7
• ALLURA. Allura is a galaxy-famous popstar & the daughter of Coalition Leader Alfor Altea. She was chosen to front Tactical Sound Unit Voltron bc of her high quintessence sensitivity & incredible charisma.
• KEITH. Keith is easily the best pilot recruited by the Garrison & he was chosen for Team Voltron for his skills. But it’s very rare to find a person with a high quintessence sensitivity level. Due to necessity, his role changed to be Allura’s partner instead.
• SHIRO. The Captain of the Atlas, in charge of Voltron and also Keith’s long-time best friend is Captain Takashi Shirogane. He helped Keith get into the Garrison to be a pilot, and is now very supportive of his friend’s new unexpected career as an idol.
• Keith & Shiro (+ Kosmo) are flatmates!
• VOLTRON FLIGHT (Lance + Pidge + Hunk). The team tasked with the protection of Allura & Keith during their “performances”. While not originally trained as fighter pilots, Lance, Pidge & Hunk make up for it with their different specialties & surprising resourcefulness.
• Keith & Shiro are part of Voltron Flight, but they’re “reserve” members bc of Keith’s role change as an idol & bc Shiro is Captain. Meanwhile it’s Allura’s first time working with a non-celebrity/showbiz team, and EVERYTHING IS NEW AND EXCITING.
• ROMELLE & CORAN. As a top-class performer, Allura only works with the best, so her team is made up of fashion consultant and best friend Romelle, and her manager and family friend Coran! They were very… enthusiastic… when they heard about Keith (and started to dress him up in Allura’s old costumes hsfjklhafa)
• MATT. Matt is usually in the hangars & is in charge of maintaining the VF’s mechs!
