this year had: art block, being too busy w work, one of my fav installments of the mdzs modern au, 2 successful ko-fi runs and emergency comms, and maybe the most regular rest & sleep schedule in years???

a mixed bag, for sure. but more art next year! 🥳

i was drawing less this year but sleeping better – make of that what u will 🙈

i still drew lots tho! and finished plenty personal projects.

this year i took a bunch of commissions, had a ko-fi run, made lots of printy stuff, learned to sew, and did more challenging embroidery & crochet thingies!

on 2023: more arts & crafts, then hopefully a return to writing fic regularly again! 💕

when i remembered i have to do this, i first thought “oh god it will all be mdzs chibi children…” and then surprise! IT WASN’T! i actually made a lot of other stuff this year! i know 2020 has been The Worst™

but i am fortunate to still produce art that made me and others happy despite the dark times.

i did not realize that i made so SO MUCH this year it’s impossible to pick one for every month so i picked four from each!

i gotta say – this year saw a lot of my all-time favorite pieces i ever created, not just fanart but also original art!

my art was my outlet for me to cope with a lot of things that i was going through this year. looking back i’m very grateful that i had this to focus on because i feel like i improved so much this past months alone.

this year was the hardest year of my life. i lost a person very close & dear to me – my rock – very suddenly, and it shook me to the core.
but making art, writing & creating things really helped, and i was surrounded by a wonderful community and met many amazing & talented friends!

so to everyone who liked, reblogged, RT’d or shared any of these pieces… to y’all who encouraged me & indulged my spam of doodles in their TLs/dashboards – you don’t know how much your support meant to me this year. some of them literally saved my life. thanks, guys!

lost a lot of my files before 2012 so i didn’t have actual 2010 art but meh those were just tons of scanned scribbles and other stuff. so here’s something from when i first started this blog!

2018 is the year i said i’d write but nooooo i just kept drawing 😐
